What was it about Absolutely’s International Courier service that caused you to work with them initially?
It happened by chance. We were initially using another International integrator, but I got a call from Absolutely. They wanted to come in and talk to me about international courier services and what they could offer. I get a lot of calls like that, and normally don’t agree to meetings being a busy PA, but I had been unhappy with my current service for some time, plus Absolutely just sounded like a nice company – not too sales-y. So I said yes. They pitched it right and had great timing.
How did our service stand out for you?
My original provider were good at what they do, but their service isn’t very personal, and that was the big difference. What I’ve found is that there is a specials team, I speak to two guys called David and Mark. I’ve worked with them for some time now and they really do go above and beyond.
If I have any problems, for example, I just have to email them and I know they’re going to respond, and usually with a solution to help me as well. Because Absolutely is a bit of a smaller company, you can get that personal service which really makes such a difference.
Was there anything we did that showed we went the extra mile?
Once I had to get a visa letter to the German Embassy in Tanzania. It was urgent. So I emailed the international courier specials team and asked them if they could print out the attachment I had sent them and send it to the Embassy for me. They did it. For me, that is absolutely going the extra mile. I don’t think I could ever have done something like that with any other courier company, and I would say that their actions helped to get the visa approved. You couldn’t ask for more than that.
Would you recommend Absolutely to others?
Totally, yes I would. As always, with International courier services, there are issues from time to time. But Absolutely do their utmost to notify me in plenty of time and resolve any issues that may arise. They work incredibly hard for their customers and it shows.
