At Absolutely Courier, we’re considered your local London courier with a twist. We don’t just deliver your parcels but deliver sustainable practice and eco-friendly courier solutions to your home or workspace. We understand the importance of sustainability when it comes to everyday life in London – as the bustling hub of the UK, it can come at an environmental cost. Our delivery service is pioneering new technology and alternatives to delivery vans.
We’re delighted to announce the launch of our Eco Hub in Holborn, London, as we continue to grow our fleet of electric cargo bikes. The site provides an additional 5,000 sq ft. of space and allows our business to expand our central London same day, fulfilment, and overnight delivery services. We’re excited to be able to get parcels and deliveries to more customers than ever, reaching into new areas.
The site will also allow us to provide a temperature controlled and ambient fulfilment solution, with our rapidly expanding fleet of electric vehicles completing any first or final mile requirements. Our electric cargo bikes, bicycles and van-based courier services allow us to collect and deliver urgent packages, food boxes, prescriptions and PPE to your door. Wherever you are, in London, we have a solution for your delivery needs.
We have already invested in over 30 electric cargo bikes ranging from Urban Arrows to EAVs (Electric Assisted Vehicles), and 90% of our APC UK overnight collections are currently collected or delivered on an electric van or cargo bike for our central London client base. We’ve committed to increasing our electric cargo bike fleet by 60% by the end of 2021. We can’t wait to expand our fleet to reach more areas.
Stuart Godman, the CEO of Absolutely Courier said, ‘As a business we’re in great shape, and despite the recent difficulties of the pandemic, the launch of our Eco Hub is something we’ve been planning for some time to ensure our business is set up for long term success; supporting our valued customers, as well as the capital’s zero emissions target.’
Absolutely Courier are committed to long term sustainability goals with a view to, expand into the wider community.
Stuart continued, ‘At a time when our customers across London are passionate about protecting the environment, whilst having to adapt their businesses and accelerate their online presence, we are committed to supporting their growth and providing them with improved service options to help them flourish in the years ahead. Our new Eco Hub is just the start of this commitment.’
We’ve seen our top 10 customers achieve an average year-on-year growth of 36%, which is something to celebrate amidst the challenges of the pandemic. These customers come from a variety of sectors, such as food and drink as well as healthcare. They’ve shown considerable local growth as consumers continue to find new ways to source their products throughout the pandemic.
The Eco Hub is one way in which we’re continuing our growth into 2021, as our sustainable same day courier service is set to keep growing and improving. CEO, Stuart Godman, added, ‘Our Eco Hub and expanding fleet of extra-large electric cargo bikes will enable Absolutely to continue delivering an excellent standard of service – giving our customers more environmentally focused options for fulfilment, storage, and distribution.’ He is proud that the company ‘adheres to the latest legislations and builds on our ambition to be a true ambassador for carbon neutrality.’
We are a brand to get excited about, as our heritage stretches back to 1865. Whilst our history is impressive, we also look to the future for our courier services, as our up-to-date technology offers online booking, tracking, and automated POD confirmations. With an average collection time of 20 minutes in central London, quick and secure delivery, and a large fleet of bike couriers, cargo bikes, EAVs and electric vans, we’re proud to invest in the future of London, and the potential for sustainability.
